It also performed well during our cooling test, but we're not a fan of the gimmicky handles or plastic crisper bins.
One thing that distinguishes the RF23M8090SG apart is the Bespoke line which lets you personalize your fridge by removing colored panels that can be swapped out whenever you get tired of the current ones. There are 11 different colors that range from soft pastels to brighter hues and four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized with photos or text, making the fridge a personal feature that can be matched to your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
The LED lighting can be changed to a different color, which is a great feature. The interior of the fridge has a sleek finish that minimizes smudges, and makes cleaning easy. The only downsides of the RF23M8090SG are its slightly congested beverage center and some learning curve when it comes to opening the door-in-door feature that houses a water jug and dispenser. You need to feel for the lever on the underside halfway down the door. Once you have it, the second door opens up inside the fridge, which houses the pitcher docking station and the water dispenser.

This is evident in our heat maps which show how interior temperatures fluctuate minute by minute. The orange area on the top right, representing the butter bin, is particularly warm throughout the time we tested. That might not seem so bad at first glance, but it means the fridge is spending a large part of the time at 33 degrees.
It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which could be important for some buyers. The real problem is that this fridge isn't very good. It lacks advanced features and durable construction, making it difficult to recommend it over more expensive options at this price point.
In many ways, this Frigidaire feels like the stainless-steel version of a fridge that you might see in your local appliance store. It's a great choice, with a brushed-finish that looks attractive and is resistant against smudges. However it's not offering much to distinguish itself from its competitors who are more feature rich and more affordable.
If you're looking for a counter-depth French-door fridge, but don't want spend much then the FGHC2331PF could be worth looking into. It offers enough storage for many families, and does a good job of keeping food fresh.
